FAQ
Q1: Do your helmets meet U.S. CPSC safety standards?
A: Yes! All our bicycle helmets meet and exceed U.S. CPSC safety standards (ASTM F1447 and ANSI Z90.4), the official federal safety standards for bicycle helmets. Each helmet is third-party tested for impact resistance, penetration protection and strap strength, with a permanent internal safety label and compliance certificate (available upon request). Our helmets also comply with NHTSA reflective tape requirements for nighttime visibility.
Q2: How to choose the correct helmet size for a proper fit?
A: Follow these 3 simple steps for a perfect helmet fit (critical for safety):
- Measure Your Head: Use a soft tape measure to wrap around your head 1 inch above your eyebrows and ears; this is your head circumference.
- Size Chart Reference: Our helmet sizes are standard U.S. sizes: Small (18-20 inches), Medium (20-22 inches), Large (22-24 inches), X-Large (24-26 inches).
-
Fit Check: The helmet should sit snugly on your head (no side-to-side/front-to-back movement), 1 inch above your eyebrows; the chin strap should be tight enough to fit only 1 finger between the strap and your chin.
We offer free size exchanges within 45 days if the helmet does not fit properly (unused, original condition).
Q3: Can I return a helmet if it doesn’t fit, even if I opened the packaging?
A: Yes! We understand helmet fitting requires opening the packaging for a try-on. Unused helmets with intact original condition (no scuffs, scratches, impact marks, intact safety label/reflective tape) are eligible for size exchanges or returns, even if the packaging is opened. A restocking fee applies for personal reason returns, but no fee for size exchanges (you cover shipping costs only).
Q4: How to maintain and care for my bicycle gear to extend its lifespan?
A: Proper care ensures your gear remains safe and durable:
- Helmet: Wipe the shell with a damp cloth (mild soap for stains); air dry padding (do not machine wash/dry); inspect for cracks/impact marks before each use; replace the helmet immediately if it is impacted in a crash (even if no damage is visible).
- Protective Gear: Hand wash pads/gloves with mild soap and cold water; air dry (do not machine wash/dry); replace padding if it becomes compressed or torn; clean hygiene liners regularly.
- Bicycle Odometer: Keep dry (water-resistant, not waterproof); wipe the screen/sensors with a soft cloth; avoid extreme temperatures (0°F to 120°F is the safe range); replace the battery when the screen dims (use only recommended battery types).
Q5: How accurate is the bicycle odometer, and does it work with all bike types?
A: Our bicycle odometers have ±1% accuracy (industry leading) for speed and distance measurements, and are compatible with all recreational bicycle types (road bikes, mountain bikes, hybrid bikes, cruisers). They work with wheel sizes from 12 inches (kids’ bikes) to 29 inches (adult mountain bikes), with easy wheel size calibration via the odometer menu (user manual included). The odometer uses a wireless sensor (no wiring required) for easy installation, with a battery life of up to 12 months (CR2032 battery).

A: Yes! We offer tiered bulk discounts for commercial/ organizational orders (bicycle shops, schools, sports teams, community groups) with free standard shipping for all U.S. locations:

Q7: What should I do if my odometer stops working or the sensor fails?
A: First check the following simple fixes (most issues are resolved quickly):
- Battery: Replace the battery in the odometer and sensor (CR2032, included with purchase for the first time).
- Sensor Placement: Ensure the sensor and magnet are aligned correctly (1/8 inch gap) and securely mounted (no movement).
- Interference: Remove any metal objects near the sensor/odometer (metal causes wireless interference).
-
Reset: Reset the odometer to factory settings (per user manual) to resolve software glitches.
If the issue persists, contact customer service with your order number and photo evidence; we will process a free replacement or refund under the 1-year warranty.
